FHM – Volunteer Outreach Coordinator

At Free Hot Meals, our mission is to promote and support free hot meal providers in disaster-affected areas, ensuring that affected people have immediate access to nourishing, ready-to-serve food relief. By partnering with national and local communities, businesses, and organizations and promoting community-driven solutions, we aim to alleviate hunger during crises, allowing communities to focus on rebuilding lives, restoring infrastructure, and revitalizing the local economy.

Position Overview:
The Volunteer Outreach Coordinator will reach out to potential partners, such as local businesses, community organizations, and free hot meal service providers, to invite them to be added to our organization’s map and calendar. This role involves establishing connections and offering opportunities for partners to collaborate with our organization. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reach Out to Potential Partners: Make calls to local businesses, non-profits, and service providers to inform them about the benefits of joining our map and calendar and the possibility of getting funded or supplied through our connections.
  • Explain the Program: Provide details about how partners can gain visibility and connect with individuals in need of services through our platform.
  • Relationship Building: Establish rapport with potential partners and answer any questions they may have about the partnership.
  • Follow-Up: Schedule follow-up calls or emails as needed to confirm participation or address concerns.
  • Data Management: Accurately track and record partner responses and help get the next steps set up for posting into the group etc.

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable with phone outreach and relationship building.
  • Organized and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Time Commitment: As you can but, we really need someone committed to making things happen on a regular daily basis.
