Position Overview:
The Volunteer Data Verifier & Web Content Writer will ensure the accuracy of constantly changing data on the organization’s website and map, while also writing and editing web content. The role focuses on verifying information like service locations and resources, and ensuring the content aligns with the organization’s mission. This position does not involve web design or hosting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Verification: Regularly check and update time sensitive location-based data and other critical information on the website and map.
- Web Content Writing: Write and edit clear, engaging content for the website (e.g., service descriptions, updates). Edit existing web content for clarity, accuracy, and alignment with the organization’s voice and mission.
- Collaboration: Work with internal teams to ensure data accuracy and content consistency.
- Monitoring: Track and report on the accuracy of the website and map data.
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and writing/editing skills.
- Ability to work with dynamic, frequently changing data.
- Familiarity with content management systems (e.g., WordPress) is a plus.
- Previous experience in data management or content writing is preferred but not required.
Time Commitment: As you can but, we really need someone committed to making things happen on a regular daily basis.
