Role Overview:
Outreach Coordinators are the connectors for I Am Open, building relationships with local organizations, businesses, and agencies to gather accurate and timely information. This role involves creating and nurturing partnerships with service providers, community groups, and relief organizations to ensure we have the most reliable resources to share with those in need. Outreach Coordinators play a crucial role in strengthening our network, ensuring our platform is filled with up-to-date information directly from trusted sources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partnership Development: Identify and connect with local organizations, businesses, and agencies that provide essential services, such as shelters, food distribution centers, and medical support.
- Relationship Management: Establish and maintain positive, ongoing relationships with partners, acting as the primary point of contact and fostering open lines of communication.
- Information Gathering: Work with partners to gather verified details on available resources, including hours of operation, location, capacity, and other relevant information.
- Collaborative Coordination: Collaborate with Research and Data teams to ensure collected information is accurately reflected on our platform.
- Community Engagement: Attend local meetings, join community forums, and participate in discussions to stay informed about community needs and resource availability.
