Role Overview:
Creative Volunteers bring fresh ideas and innovative perspectives to I Am Open, helping shape how we communicate, engage, and present information to our community. This role involves brainstorming and developing ideas for our website, social media, and other communication channels to ensure our platform is visually engaging, accessible, and impactful. Creative Volunteers play an essential role in capturing attention, inspiring action, and making sure our mission resonates with those we serve.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content and Visual Concept Development: Generate ideas for eye-catching graphics, compelling social media posts, and engaging website layouts that communicate key messages clearly and attractively.
- Campaign and Initiative Brainstorming: Collaborate with the Social Media, Outreach, and Research teams to create campaigns that raise awareness, attract volunteers, and keep the public informed.
- Design and Media Creation: Create visual assets, graphics, videos, or other media as needed to support our platform’s online presence and branding.
- User Experience (UX) Insights: Contribute ideas on how to improve the website’s look and feel to make it more user-friendly and engaging for those in need of resources.
- Community Engagement Strategies: Suggest creative ways to connect with and grow our audience, making I Am Open an appealing and trusted platform.
Skills Needed:
- Strong creative thinking and ability to brainstorm innovative ideas
- Basic graphic design or video editing skills (experience with tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc. is a plus)
- Familiarity with social media trends and best practices
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
